Laura

Știți parcul IOR? Știți că o parte (destul de mare) din el nu e luminată noaptea? Că aici nu există coșuri de gunoi? Că nu e de beton și aici ce e verde nu e tăiat la milimetru? Știți că e cea mai frumoasă parte? Știți că e parcul nostru?

Laura este militantă. Militantă pentru parcul nostru. Militantă pentru dreptul de a lenevi pe iarba. Militantă pentru timp pierdut și pentru plimbari fără destinație. Militanta pentru mai putină eficiență. Pe metru pătrat.

Și, da, e Laura pe care o menționam aici.

Do you know about IOR? IOR! The park! Did you know that a large part of it isn't lit at night? That there aren't any trash cans? That it isn't all concrete or that all that green isn't cut to the milimeter? That it's the best part? That it's our park!

Laura is active. An active citizen. For our park. For the right to laze on the grass. For wasted time and rides without a clear destination. For less efficency. Per square meter. 

Maybe I should mention for my non-romanian speaking readers that IOR is a large park in the Balta Albă neighbourhood in Bucharest. About a third of it has been given by the municipality to a private owner. It's status is mostly unknown. Is it private? Is it public? Who should clean and lit this space? Citizens consider it as their own (both the park and the living buildings surrounding it where build on a former crop field in the '60) but the city hall won't assume responsibility for it. In the mean time it's slowly decaying, probably to the point where the people won't care if someone built a mall or a parking lot on the area.

Câteva poze de ieri. Pe ea (shh...eu știu deja că o cheamă Laura, voi aflați luni) am terminat-o dimineață. În fotografia cu sticla încă se întărea lipiciul de la pantofi. Mai târziu am fost în IOR unde i-am făcut fotografii. Cineva cosise iarba. Asta plus începutul de toamnă, au făcut culorile atât de potrivite cu ea. Ah, și în ultma poză, eu.

Days photos.
A few photos I took the other day. I've finished her (shh...I already know her name is Laura, but you'll find out on monday) that morning. The glue on her shoes was still drying in the photo with the bottle. Later we went to the park in our neighbourhood, IOR, to take some photos of her. Someone had mowed the grass. That plus the oh so soon coming autumn resulted in those colours that suited her so well. A good photoshoot, anyway. Oh, and that's me, in the last picture.

Ozana

Ozana e fată de cartier. De obicei, o găsești citind gazeta la colțu' blocului. Atât de des că a început să să se știe cu majoritatea blocurilor din cartier. Multe îi sunt și prietene. Mai stau câteodată și bârfesc. Despre parcări.

Petre

Petre pe internet pirat,

mănâncă pere stând în pat. 

Unu și zero pregătesc 

cinci informații și-un protest. 

Pisici în cod, cuvinte-n nod, 

haide, mă Petre!  

Mai dă-l încolo de perete!

Fructonada

Fratele meu face experimente în bucătărie. Are chiar și o pagina de facebook unde împarte rețete: Medicină pe pâine. Majoritatea sunt foarte bune. Unele sunt excelente! Fructonada lui e un exemplu. A și facut-o zilele astea, în care a fost mult prea cald, perfectă! Se pare ca e și ușoară și cu ingrediente comune. Și s-ar putea să fie cel mai bun suc pe care l-am băut vreodata. Așa că m-am gandit s-o împart cu voi. Uite aici.

 My brother likes to perform experiments in the kitchen. He even has a facebook page where he posts his recipes, Medicină pe pâine. Most of them are great but some are excellent! His Fructonada is such an example. And it's perfect with the hot weather we've had recently. Now, while it's an easy one (or so he says) it could actually be the best juice I've ever tasted. Thought I'd share, here it is.

Ăsta e primul post pe care îl scriu pe bune pentru blog. Cele din urma formeaza mai degraba o arhiva a proiectului Micul Haos din ultimii 2 ani. Încă mai sunt câteva de urcat. Micul Haos sunt păpușile-jucarii cu față umană, fotografiile și poveștile lor. Da, și eu le fac, câteodată cu ajutor. Pâna acum le găsisem loc pe pagina lor de fb. Acum și pe blog. Aici, un pic mai personal.

This is actually the first post I write for this blog. I've posted the previous ones in the last couple of days. They feature my work in the last 2 years on the Micul Haos project. There are a few still to be posted. Micul Haos literally translates to Little Chaos and I'd like to think of it as a toy cooperative. They're let's say human-faced toys, as the term "dolls" doesn't really suit them. Until now you'd find them on their facebook page, which I'll also keep. Now they're here too, a little more personal. And with a broader range of interests.
I'll try writing future blog posts both in romanian and in english but I doubt I'll translate the previous ones. 

Ostrogradski

Milioane de fani Ostrogradski își țin respirația în așteptarea anunțului oficial. -Cum vi se pare că vine Ostrogradski și la noi? Vă bucurați? Ostrogradski a confirmat deja la conferința de presă posibilitatea unui nou turneu, dar data nu a fost încă stabilită. Vă reamintim scandalul din urma lansării ultimului album. Vechii fani se consideră trădați de trecerea lui la matematici moderne și cer întoarcerea la la stilul care l-a consacrat. Totuși, noul albumul l-a propulsat la nivel global.

Gina din China

Gina, din China, vine cu… trenu. Da, da, cu trenu, cu CFRu’, mai exact. Păi ce alternative avea? Cu avionu pierzi tot drumu. De înotat, ea nu prea știe. Pe mașină n-o înțelege. De fapt, nici celelalte păpuși n-o prea au la inimă. De ce să mergi singur, închis într-un sertar?
